Cambridge Forum on International Tax Conflicts

Arnaud Booij has been visiting the Cambridge Forum on International Tax Conflicts in London. In this seminar about 40 tax litigators from different jurisdictions have discussed several topics, like Exchange of information, tax dispute settlement mechanisms, tax litigation procedures, reporting & liability issues for tax lawyers and tax payer rights. Jurisdictions present were US, Canada, UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, India, China, Japan, Australia, Switzerland and Israel. Australia probably has one of the best tax payer rights charters, including a system for negotiating tax settlements.
